The suspect was caught on surveillance video around 3 a.m. in the 15000 block of Amar Road. After slithering into the business, he failed to open a coin change machine even while using a handheld saw, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The suspect escaped out the same hole. He is described as Latino, 20 to 30 years old and has a thin build. In addition to the Houston Astors hat, the suspect wore a hooded sweatshirt and has neck tattoos. Anyone who can identify the suspect is urged to call the Sheriff’s Industry Station at 626-330-3322. The shooting occurred at Temple Avenue and League Avenue around 10:50 p.m. Friday, February 2. The vehicle that fled the location eastbound was described as an older-model four-door Honda. Only one suspect described is a male Hispanic, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. The extent of injuries to the victim are not immediately known. Deputies initially believe this shooting is not gang-related. LA PUENTE - Crisis negotiators are attempting to get a man barricaded inside a vehicle to peacefully surrender Thursday morning. The incident apparently began around 9:45 a.m. in the area of Fairgrove Avenue and Sunset Street. The Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau is working with crisis negotiators to bring the situation to a peaceful end, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. A supervisor with the Sheriff’s Industry Station was not immediately available to provide details on why the suspect is barricaded. The birds were stolen from Hacienda aquatics, 1075 N. Hacienda Blvd. around 5:30 p.m. Monday, October 30. During an initial broadcast, one suspect was reportedly being held down during the crime. It is unknown if that suspect was part of the trio that escaped with the birds, or is a fourth suspect who might be possibly detained. One suspect is a Latino man, 25 years old, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall. He wore a black Nike jacket and black pants. Deputies were unable to obtain descriptions for the two other suspects. The suspects fled southbound on Hacienda Boulevard toward Amar Road in a blue 4-door Toyota sedan. The robbery reportedly occurred around 9:50 p.m. July 7 at Third Street and Main Street, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. Both suspects lead northbound on third Street and out of view. One suspect was described as a Latino male and a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. The second suspect was described as a Latino male and a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. The shooting occurred around 6:40 p.m. in the 16600 block of Maplegrove Street November 6, according to Sgt. Aguilar of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. It is unclear if a motive was learned, or if there were any other victims. Deputies checked surrounding hospitals, but so far no other gunshot victims were found, according to Sheriff’s radio traffic. Deputies setup a perimeter around the neighborhood, questioned a number of potential witnesses to the shooting and conducted as search of the crime scene to find victims there. Deputies were told of a suspect vehicle, which may have turned up several blocks away on Pass and Covina Road, but it is unclear if a suspect is in custody. The shooting occurred around 9:50 p.m. in the 800 block of North Eldon Avenue October 1. One victim was struck in the upper torso. He was hospitalized and later died. A woman was struck in one or more of her extremities. She was also hospitalized and is listed as stable, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. It is not yet clear if a suspect or suspects were identified. The assault with a deadly weapon occurred near 17301 Valley Blvd. just after 4:30 p.m. July 24. The armed suspect exited a black older-model Hyundai SUV and stabbed his victim once in the left arm, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s radio broadcast. Sgt. Smith of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station is unaware of any arrests and is unsure of a motive for the crime. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, Smith told SGV CityWatch. The suspect was described to deputies as a Hispanic man around 35 years old. He was described as heavy set, stood 5 feet 6 inches, wore a black shirt and black shorts, according to the radio broadcast. The Hyundai SUV was driven away by another heavy-set Hispanic man. |
