The shooting occurred at Temple Avenue and League Avenue around 10:50 p.m. Friday, February 2. The vehicle that fled the location eastbound was described as an older-model four-door Honda. Only one suspect described is a male Hispanic, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. The extent of injuries to the victim are not immediately known. Deputies initially believe this shooting is not gang-related. LA PUENTE - Crisis negotiators are attempting to get a man barricaded inside a vehicle to peacefully surrender Thursday morning. The incident apparently began around 9:45 a.m. in the area of Fairgrove Avenue and Sunset Street. The Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau is working with crisis negotiators to bring the situation to a peaceful end, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. A supervisor with the Sheriff’s Industry Station was not immediately available to provide details on why the suspect is barricaded. The birds were stolen from Hacienda aquatics, 1075 N. Hacienda Blvd. around 5:30 p.m. Monday, October 30. During an initial broadcast, one suspect was reportedly being held down during the crime. It is unknown if that suspect was part of the trio that escaped with the birds, or is a fourth suspect who might be possibly detained. One suspect is a Latino man, 25 years old, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall. He wore a black Nike jacket and black pants. Deputies were unable to obtain descriptions for the two other suspects. The suspects fled southbound on Hacienda Boulevard toward Amar Road in a blue 4-door Toyota sedan. The incident unfolded after 4 p.m. near Klamath Street and Fickewirth Avenue October 2, according to Sgt. Torres of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The barricade continues at this hour. The suspect was described as possibly committing an assault with a deadly weapon, but Torres was unclear what weapon may be involved. The shooting occurred around 9:50 p.m. in the 800 block of North Eldon Avenue October 1. One victim was struck in the upper torso. He was hospitalized and later died. A woman was struck in one or more of her extremities. She was also hospitalized and is listed as stable, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The shooting was reported to deputies around 8:01 p.m. in the 17300 block of Hurley Street, December 10. A Hispanic man was found wounded by gunfire. He died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. While the information bureau states that there was no suspect information available, and earlier crime broadcast described two males leaving the area after the shooting. It is unclear, though, if those two meals seen leaving the area are connected to the shooting. Deputies described the weapon as possibly being a black semi automatic handgun. He was hit by multiple gunshots to the upper torso, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The other victim, also a man in his 20s, was struck by multiple rounds of gunfire in the lower torso and one leg. He is expected to survive. A man was discovered wounded in the area of Amar Road and Del Valle Avenue just before 8:50 p.m. June 15, by deputies responding to a call of a person down, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The man found wounded on a sidewalk died at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. According to earlier Sheriff’s Department radio traffic, there was apparently no witnesses to the shooting. No suspect description was given.
